The customer
TractAir is a family-owned engineering and manufacturing company based in Brough, East Yorkshire. The company designs, manufactures, supplies and fits air brake systems, air compressors and tyre inflation systems for agricultural, industrial and rail applications, serving major OEM manufacturers and a diverse client base around the world.
The solution
TractAir invited Lasercroft to refurbish a worn and damaged concrete floor within its manufacturing facility. Across a 510 m² area, the existing surface had become uneven and de-bonded in places. The company needed a repaired, hard-wearing and slip-resistant floor able to withstand the demands of a busy engineering and manufacturing environment.
Implementation
We began by repairing the existing concrete, diamond-grinding the surface, and filling damaged, de-bonded areas with epoxy mortar to create a sound, level base. We then applied KDR Epocoat HB across the full 510 m² area.
KDR Epocoat HB is a high-build epoxy coating that delivers a smooth, hard-wearing surface with a slip-resistant finish, making it ideal for manufacturing environments where a robust, easy-to-clean and long-lasting floor is required.
