The customer
KDS Construction is a construction and engineering organisation based in Yorkshire. They have over 60 years of experience delivering high-level construction projects in various sectors.
The solution
Lasercroft was invited to work as a sub-contractor for KDS Construction on a flooring project for one of the largest manufacturers of sustainable aluminum packaging solutions for beverage industry. The project involved a 1,200m2 installation of flooring.
Implementation
Work was carried out, initially to the newly formed chemical bund area of the construction. Firstly, we applied polymer modified screeds to fall to allow any overflow of liquids to be distributed to the sump areas required.
We used products from Resdev’s range of industrial polyurethane resin finishes, including Pumadur DP10 and Pumadur HF, laid at 6mm thick to create safe, chemical-resistant, and hard-wearing floor surfaces. Pumadur WR was then applied to the bund walls to create a fully resin-sealed unit.
