NSK products and solutions manufacture and distribute high-precision roller bearings and ball bearings across various industries and the automotive sector. They are a global organisation with locations around Europe.
The solution
Alongside the hundreds of square meters of Ucrete MF applied in the trucking aisles at NSK’s UK Distribution Centre, we were also invited to improve the slip resistance on the ramp leading to the loading docks.
The ramp takes regular forklift traffic carrying heavy loads daily and the existing coatings had been worn for a long time. A more robust coating was requested so we put forward Pumagrip HD applied at a nominal 3mm thick.
Implementation
The Pumagrip flexible polyurethane floor finish has been proven to stand the test of time, having been used by us in numerous car parks, loading docks, ramps and walkways.
The aggregate finish can be varied in size to provide tailored slip resistance. After application of the aggregate to the wet base coat, the excess is swept off, and a coat of Pumadur TF polyurethane resin seal was applied.
