The customer
Filtrona is the market leader in the production of packing tape solutions. They provide a range of tape solutions for opening, closing, displaying information and protecting packages for the consumer packaging sector. They use the latest technology in their production facility to design and print their wide range of tape systems to their customers.
The solution
Filtrona Tapes invited Lasercroft to propose a solution for the renewal of their existing warehouse flooring which was showing signs of wear and tear. They needed to ensure they were compliant as a business with safety standards, incorporating a non-slip surface and various clear safety markings
Implementation
We proposed a Pumatect high build epoxy resin coating as the ideal solution for their needs. Epoxy coatings protect, seal and dustproof concrete and are available in a wide range of colours, allowing for the creation of walkways and segregated areas. Anti-slip can also be included to enhance safety.
After thoroughly preparing the area to remove existing coatings and provide a key for the new system the area was vacuumed thoroughly. Two coats of Pumatect were applied, incorporating a fine grade of white aluminium oxide to provide slip resistance. Walkways, trucking routes and zebra crossings were marked out, taped up and applied using the same high build epoxy coatings from Resdev Ltd.
