The customer
Crown Paints has roots extending back nearly two centuries. Today, the company is the UK’s largest and most successful independent paint manufacturer. Its manufacturing plant is in Hull, East Yorkshire, where some of the UK’s favourite paint colours, known for their quality and reliability, are made.
The solution
Crown Paints invited Lasercroft to support them with flooring to solve health and safety issues within its manufacturing plant. After refurbishing other site areas including mezzanine decks, they came to us as they were encountering issues with their new high reach trucks which were slipping on the polished concrete surface. A heavy duty slip resistant solution which could handle the constant traffic was put forward.
Implementation
We recommended a Pumadur DP System, due to its ability to provide a heavy-duty and slip-resistant surface, which can be tailored to segregate areas for pedestrians and moving vehicles clearly. Other important demarcation and safety messages can also be displayed on the flooring.
Pumadur DP has a variable textured finish, which makes it ideal for wet and dry processing environments where a robust, high-performance floor is required.
