The customer

Beverley Racecourse is East Yorkshire’s popular racecourse and has been part of the historic market town of Beverley for over 300 years. In 1752, the Jockey Club was founded, and the first Grandstand was built in 1767. In the last five decades, the owners have extended and modernised the course to offer racegoers top-quality racing and excellent facilities, which they continue to do yearly.

The solution

The racecourse owners required a new flooring solution for their owner’s and trainers’ terrace. The flooring needed to be impressive, but practical for the environment as well as durable and slip resistant, whilst still being easy to clean.

Implementation

We recommended a resin bound aggregate blend by local manufacturer Vuba.

The new flooring provides the following benefits to the customer:

  • Attractive aesthetic finish, which is attractive to visitors
  • Long-lasting and able to withstand foot traffic and horses
  • Durable and anti-slip
  • A permeable floor which is SUDS compliant
"
Beverley Racecourse appreciates Lasercroft's resin-bound gravel surface for its durability and low maintenance, ensuring a long-lasting, high-quality finish that withstands heavy foot traffic. Additionally, the aesthetically pleasing, smooth finish enhances the racecourse's overall appeal while providing slip-resistant safety for visitors.
