The customer
Soanes Poultry are a long-standing Yorkshire-based rearer of chicken to high welfare standards. Established in 1947, they supply chicken from their Yorkshire farms directly to homes and the trade. Having worked on site previously, Lasercroft was invited to review existing worn flooring and to accommodate changes to the production area.
The solution
We recommended Resdev Pumadur HF – a FeRFA type 8 heavy-duty polyurethane flooring system that is popular in the food manufacturing industry due to its durability and ease of maintenance.
Implementation
The existing concrete was mechanically prepared before being overlaid with Laserbulk polyurethane screed. This was applied to the falls to reduce standing water and push it to the new drainage channels. An additional benefit to using Laserbulk is the minimal curing time required before application of floor finishes can start. Pumadur HF was being applied to the new screed within 24 hours then polyurethane coving and movement joints finishing the job off the following day.
