The customer
Kanes Foods is one of the UK’s leading producers of prepared meal solutions and supplies fresh stir-fry, salad bowls, dressing, sauces and prepared vegetables to some of the country’s largest grocery retailers.
The solution
Kanes Foods required heavy-duty flooring for their new salad processing facility. They already had thousands of metres of Ucrete UD200 laid in their existing factories and were happy with its durability. We agreed on a combination of the premium BASF polyurethane resin product.
Implementation
We began the installation by applying a relatively small amount of polymer-modified screeding to address flooring levels whilst keeping additional weight to a minimum. We then applied approximately 4,000m2 of Ucrete UD200 to the ground and first-floor slabs.
Kanes Foods recognises that the heavy-duty flooring system, known as the world's toughest flooring, is suitable to their needs, stands up to the various degrees of traffic, thermal shock and chemical attack whilst providing a safe, slip-resistant surface in multiple environments on their site.
