Macduff Shellfish are a processer of wild shellfish, including wild scallops, langoustines, crabs and whelks. They specialise in working with fishermen around the UK and processing at their state-of-the-art plant in North Eastern Scotland.ish prepared in a varity of specifications.
The solution
Having previously installed flooring solutions in the production areas of this busy shellfish processing facility, we were asked to provide long-term flooring solution for the link corridor, locker areas and canteen.
The flooring needed to be hard-wearing and visibly attractive, and also provide a degree of slip resistance whilst still being easy to maintain. An Altro Screed Quartz was chosen as providing an ideal solution.
Implementation
We initially applied the solution to the flooring areas, moving on to the next step of this installation to apply a hand-trowelled system to two staircases. Each staircase was fitted with heavy-duty Gradus stair nosings with their Xtra-Grip inserts for added safety.
